A little something about the artist, click here to see more!

He has an unmistakable pictorial idiom, based on his humour, his playfulness and a practically unlimited power of the imagination. Murat’s pictorial composition nonetheless remains simple and clear. The multiple levels of interpretation in Suyur’s work points to surrealist art as the creative source of his inspiration

Basketball Pouch by Nike is freaky Cool, Sporty and Stylish
___________

Nike’s new basketball pouch sits on the intersection of athleisure and high-fashion, to offer consumers a unique yet practical wardrobe accessory.

The purse was designed by the New York-based designer Andrea Bergart, and is available exclusively at House of Hoops in Harlem. The purse is reminiscent of a flattened and basketball, and features Nike’s swoosh, to pay homage to “The 1 Reimagined” collection.

The versatile purse arrives in both small and large sizes, and can be used as a change purse or an everyday bag respectively. In addition, the bag’s zipper arrives in multiple colorways, including purple, green or blue, adding a touch spring-ready pop of color to an otherwise sporty bag.

World of Eugenia Loli part 1

So…. who is Eugenia Loli?

“Her collages, with the help of the title, often include a teasing, visual narrative, as if they’re a still frame of a surreal movie. The viewers are invited to make up the movie’s plot in their mind”

Titel image: Stars for Breakfast

she is;
Amongst a lot, …a filmmaker, illustrator, and a modern vintage collage artist.

Titel of image: Cosmic Float

Titel of image: Pleiadian Surfer

“It’s important for me to “say” something with my artwork, so for the vast majority of my work there’s a meaning behind them. I usually do this via presenting a “narrative” scene in my collages, like there’s something bigger going on than what’s merely depicted. Sometimes the scene is witty or sarcastic, some times it’s horrific with a sense of danger or urgency, some times it’s chill. I leave it to the viewer’s imagination to fill-in the blanks of the story plot”.

Question: What are your influences?

“I got into collage because I loved Julien Pacaud’s illustrations, but it was Kieron “Cur3es” Cropper who became my main influence. The guy’s a genius. Bryan “Glass Planet” Olson and David Delruelle are also influences of mine. From the older artists, I’d have to say, Magritte. However, I collage on many different styles: from “pop” to dada, and from modern illustrations to traditional surrealism. I don’t believe that artists should “find their style”. That’s artistic death. If I have a style, it’s probably some “meta” aspect of it (e.g. the sarcasm that I usually employ in my collages), rather than something visual”.
